Blue Lough(Smugglers & Smithies) Tour.
Join us for this fantastic Guided Tour in the Mourne Mountains where you will hear the history of the Binnian Tunnel, see how the Mourne Granite was cut using hand tools and visit the Smugglers cave.
The walk is approx 5 miles long mostly on rough tracks and is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness, the tour will take about four and a half hours which will include time for a packed lunch (not included). On the Guided Walk you will have fantastic views(weather permitting) of the beautiful Mourne Mountains including Slieve Donard and Ben Crom. The Famous Mourne Wall Walk
22 miles and 15 peaks!!! But don’t panic, let Walkthemournes.com guide you. Done over 2 days with a nights wild camping this is a fantastic experience. It’s a tough couple of days but we will take it at a pace that allows you to appreciate the beautiful place that is the Mourne Mountains. Tents and cooking equipment provided as well as professional advice on other kit needed.

This is a geology themed Tour where we will discover about the rock types in the Mournes and see the effects of glaciers etc on the landscape. Our tour will start from Meelmore Lodge and will last approx 4.5 hours. This is a free Tour which is being funded by MMLP.
